What to Expect

Aegina is an idyllic Greek island very close to Athens, thus a very popular destination for quick weekend getaways.
Aegina belongs to the Saronic group of islands, along with Poros, Agistri and Hydra. Aegina, Greece has many archaeological monuments, picturesque villages and beautiful beaches!

Cape Sounio is located on the tip of the Attica Peninsula and according to legend, Cape Sounio is the spot where Aegeus, king of Athens, leapt to his death off the cliff, thus giving his name to the Aegean Sea.

Cape Sounio has been recognized since prehistoric times as a special place of worship, and was an important sanctuary during the Greek Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic periods.
The view is breathtaking. You can see the islands of Kea, Kythnos and clear over to the Peloponnesus with ships and fishing boats passing by.

  • Swimming at Moni, a small islet next to Aegina island
  • Lunch in Perdika village (expenses not included)
